I would like to highlight, in particular, the importance of the Times Change computer service in my job search. Surveying the labour market for positions that I have been qualified for in the past, I have realized that technology has left me behind. I needed to update my basic computer skills, which I was able to do through Times Change’s computer workshops on Microsoft Word and Excel. The computer service not only includes access to personal computers (PC), but also to a Macintosh computer – both of which allow me to learn new applications at my own speed. I am currently becoming proficient in PowerPoint 2002 and in Dreamweaver 8, applications which will make me more marketable in my field.
