Career Planning Workshop

The Career Planning Workshop is designed for women who are unclear about their career direction or who are thinking of making a change.  With a unique approach to exploring work-related skills, interests and values, participants have an opportunity to answer the question, "What type of work do I really want?"

During this five week (ten-session) workshop, participants will:

  • Identify their skills, interests and values through self-assessment
  • Explore and research possible occupations
  • Understand the changing labour market
  • Learn how to make a good decision
  • Develop an action plan based on realizable goals

What you need to know:

  • It is mandatory to attend the Getting Started Workshop prior to the Career Planning workshop.
  • You must schedule an assessment appointment with a Times Change counsellor following the Getting Started workshop.
  • The Career Planning Workshop meets Monday and Thursday afternoons from 1:30 to 4:30 for five weeks.
  • Individual counselling is offered as a follow-up service to this workshop.
  • If you are currently working or are unable to attend the Career Planning Workshop, you may order Times Change: A Career Planning Workbook for Women to work through on your own.
  • The Career Planning Workshop is free of charge.
  • A $20.00 materials fee for the Times Change Career Planning Workbook applies.
