Online Job Search Workshops


We're excited to offer you the following online workshops to assist with your job search.

These online workshops are designed for women who know what kind of work they're looking for and have the skills necessary for that specific field of work. The service is open to women who are unemployed or working less than an average of 20 hours per week. Participants must go through a pre-screening process to determine their eligibility for the program.  ​

Interactive Online Resume Workshop

In this workshop, we will cover comprehensive information about resumes, including resume formats and sections, accomplishment statements, App​licant Tracking Systems, and resume targeting tips.The sessions are held by Zoom ( with  presentation and interactive Q & A). We will send you the related handouts after each session. 
In this workshop, participants will learn about:
  • The purpose of resumes
  • Three resume formats and how to decide which format to use
  • Must-have and Optional Resume Sections 
  • Accomplishment Statements
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

​Job Posting Analysis-Online ​Presentation

Taking the time to analyze job postings and customize your résumé based on their job titles, responsibilities and qualifications is often the difference between receiving interviews and being screened out of the recruiting process.  In this pre-recorded presentation, you will learn tips on how to use the information included in job ads to submit targeted applications. The goals of this presentation are:

•      To define and clarify the three types of skills, and explain how they relate to job search and particularly job postings
•      To explain different sections of a job posting and help form a better understanding of the structure of job postings
•      To dig deeper into the term ‘Qualifications’ and define its key components
•      To share a tool to help compare and match your qualifications to the requirements of a posting

A group session with employment counsellors and other clients. We know it's hard to stay positive, keeping one's spirits up and continuing an active, focused and motivated job search when looking for work alone during a pandemic. We're here to help. Times Change is launching a new online Q and A series, each session with a specific topic, to address your job search concerns and answer your questions.

The sessions are offered to clients who are registered with our employment services. Even remotely, we can all come together as a community to make job search easier. To sign up, email your employment counsellor at Times Change.
